Are Patients ignorant or informed??

Hi all,
After advising my patients that my fee would be increasing next year one lady phoned me up complaining that I was the 2nd most expensive practitioner in the area.
She informed me she was a 'business woman' and could not see what my over heads were besides running a car (I am a dom) and my increase was totally unjustifed. I asked her if she was therefore a chiropodist and obviously knew the business. Of course she wasn't..
I therefore asked her if she wanted to cancel her next appointment. Oh no she said, I like very much the way you do my feet and no one else I asked receives a foot massage afterwards.
Does this indicate that patients are better informed than some of the people that contribute to this forum about how to run our business's or that they do not know good value for money when it is smacking them in the teeth?
Would like to hear others peoples experience on this one as in P.P generating and maintaining an income is obviously quite important to us all.
